Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar
Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIM Bhubaneswar, also known as XIMB), is a business school in India, located in Bhubaneswar, the capital of the eastern Indian state of Orissa.
History
Foundation
Established in 1987, the Institute owes its origin to a Social Contract between the Government of Orissa and the Orissa Jesuit Society. The Institute is led by a Governing Board consisting of representatives from the Orissa Jesuit Society, Government of India, and Government of Orissa and eminent invited industrialists and educationists.

A Team of PGP second year students from XIMB claimed the 4th spot in the Rubicon International Business Case contest held in 2006, in Iserlohn, Germany. Incidentally, the team was the sole Asian finalist.[4]

New XIMB campus
XIMB will establish a second campus in Orissa. This 100-acre (0.40 km2) campus is slated to start in 2011 to coincide with the institution's silver jubilee. It will be located somewhere on the outskirts of the city of Bhubaneswar.[6]
Accreditation
XIMB has been granted the SAQS (South Asian Quality Assurance Systems) accreditation by the Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA).[7][8] XIMB has been awarded the NBA Accreditation by the National Board of Accreditation from March 2009, for a period of 5 years for PGDM, 3 years for PGDM-RM & 3 years for PGDM-PT.[9]
XIMB has applied for AACSB accreditation.[10]
Rating
XIMB has been ranked as the 8th best B-school in India according to the Outlook India Best B-schools Survey 2008. [11] XIMB belongs to the Super League (SL) category of the top business schools in India as surveyed by AIMA (All India Management Association).[12]
XIMB has been ranked as the 6th best B-school in India by AIMA (All India Management Association) and Business Standard in their joint survey in 2011. [13] [14]
